Dr. Alexandra Gelt, O.D.

Dr. Alexandra Gelt received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary, Alberta, graduating with honors. She earned her doctor of optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, graduating with honors, receiving the Beta Sigma Kappa award for academic excellence. Dr Gelt was also chosen as a finalist in the Best of Kent 2011 Physician Category. Dr. Gelt completed internships at the Fresno VA Hospital in Fresno, California, Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas and Barnet Dulaney Eye Center in Phoenix , AZ. She completed advanced residency training in ocular disease and refractive surgery at the Northwest Eye Surgeons Clinic in Seattle. Prior to co-founding Clearvue Vision center, Dr. Gelt worked over 10 years at Lomas Eye Care Center where she co-managed nearly 10,000 Lasik and cataract patients as well as treated much ocular disease. Dr. Gelt has a special interest in glaucoma, dry eye, and diabetic eye disease.

Dr. Gelt is very active in her profession, with memberships in the American Optometric Association, Optometric physicians of Washington, and the King County Optometric Society. She has provided vision screenings to the military and school children.

Dr. Gelt enjoys travel, performance arts and spending time with her husband and two children.


Dr. Bryan Heitmeyer, O.D.

Dr. Heitmeyer performed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University. He received his Doctor of Optometry at The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where he was recognized with an award for patient care excellence. Dr. Heitmeyer was chosen as a best Physician finalist in the Best of Kent 2011. He has completed several external rotations focused on ocular disease and surgical co-management. Dr. Heitmeyer is a Dry Eye Specialist and frequently lectures and trains other doctors on the topic. Prior to co-founding Clearvue Vision Center, Dr. Heitmeyer worked at Lomas Eye Care Center where he co-managed over 4,000 Lasik and Cataract patients.

Dr. Heitmeyer actively volunteers time providing eye care to underprivileged individuals. He has participated in humanitarian mission trips to both Honduras and El Salvador. He also regularly volunteers time at the Millionaire Club providing free eye care for the working homeless of Seattle.

Dr. Heitmeyer is a member of The American Optometric Association, King County Optometric Society, and Optometric Physicians of Washington.

In his free time, Dr. Heitmeyer enjoys spending time with his two dogs, hiking, wine, adventure travel, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
